Here are the methods I came across for adding a nominee online.

Via HDFC Insta Services

You must go to HDFC Bank’s Insta Services and click on the "Nominee Updation" option. You’ll need your registered mobile number and Debit/NetBanking card handy to proceed. This option works only for single account holders, but it’s quick and convenient.

Via HDFC NetBanking

I used this method to add a nominee to my HDFC account. For that, 

1. I logged in with my ID and password on

   HDFC net banking

2. Then, I went to the ‘Request’ section under the ‘Accounts’ tab.

3. I clicked on ‘View/Update Nomination Details,’ selected my account, and hit ‘Modify’ to make changes.

4. After entering the nominee details, I confirmed the update.
