Keeping things tidy all the time was unachievable with work, family, and other responsibilities. I had this question in my mind for a long time. Recently, I researched how much time should I spend cleaning my house without overdoing. I found, on average, we should spend 2.5 to 3 hours weekly cleaning.
How many Hours Should You Spend Cleaning Your House?
Although the time required to clean a house varies, a typical two-bedroom requires 2.5 to 3 hours of weekly cleaning. I have shared the average cleaning time based on property type.
1 BHK: 2 hours
2 BHK of less than 1000 sq ft.: 2.5 hours to 3 hours
2 BHK of size 1000 sq ft. or above: 3.5 hours
3 BHK: 4 hours
You can also follow the 20/10 rule. Spend 20 minutes cleaning, then take a 10-minute break. The size of the house, how many people live there, and whether you're doing a regular or deep clean all have a big impact on how long it takes. I am following the same, and now it takes me approximately 2.5 hours weekly to clean my entire 2 BHK.
