I consulted with an electrician about how many AC can run on single phase and learnt that a single-phase connection can handle one or two 1.5 ACs easily but if it is 2 ton ACs, it might not. A 1.5 ton AC usually requires around 7–8 amps, so running two might overload a standard 5 kW connection but usually it doesn’t. If the wiring and load capacity allow, a second AC can run, but if there are frequent voltage drops, it will be hard.

How Many AC We Can Run On Single Phase?
A single-phase connection can run one or two ACs, depending on the total load and wiring capacity. However, make sure that the power limit is not exceeded or else there will be voltage drops or tripping and that might damage your electrical appliances.
Here is a list of when you can and cannot run multiple ACs on a single phase:
When You Can Run Multiple ACs on a Single Phase:
If the total load (including other appliances) stays within the sanctioned limit.
If you are using energy-efficient ACs with lower power consumption.
If the wiring and circuit breakers of your AC handle the load without overheating.
When You Cannot Run Multiple ACs on a Single Phase:
If your AC’s power demand exceeds the sanctioned load, it will lead to voltage drip and fail to run multiple ACs
If voltage fluctuations occur, you will not be able to run your AC
If the wiring is old or weak, multiple ACs will not work
This is why it is better that you hire a professional electrician; let him check the voltage and capacity of your ACs and then take a call to see whether multiple ACs can run or not on a single phase or not.

Hello Manish, I can help you with the answer of whether can we use 2 AC in single phase. I had the same question a few days ago and thus asked this question to an electrician who often visits our house for electrical work.
He told me that it is possible to run two ACs in a single phase. However, there are some conditions for this.
How Many AC Can Run in Single Phase?
You can use a couple of ACs on a single phase meter. However, this comes with the condition;
The combined power consumption of the two ACS should be under the maximum load capacity of your meter.
If the load of the ACs go beyond the maximum limit, the fuse can burn, and other electrical hazards can occur, too.
So, I strongly recommend you call up an expert and licensed electrician to guide you with the number of ACs that can run on your single phase metre.
The electrician will be able to tell you better if can I run 3 AC on single phase or not. I hope this information will help you.

Your Feedback Matters! How was this Answer?
Wondering, how many AC can run on single phase? As a general rule of thumb, two 1.5-ton air conditioners can be installed using a single-phase. To avoid overloading and other safety risks, it's crucial to make sure the electrical circuit and wiring can support the combined load of both air conditioners.

Single Phase How Many AC Can Run?
Two things determine how many AC we can run on single phase in the first place:
The total power that your single-phase connection is capable of
Individual power consumption of every AC unit
To evaluate your unique circumstances and guarantee safe functioning within your power constraints, you must speak with an
electrician. If necessary, they can also assist with upgrading your electrical system.
A common misperception is that air conditioners need a three-phase electrical connection. This is incorrect since the motors in all ACs are made to run on single-phase electricity. You may require a three-phase connection only if you have more than three air conditioners operating simultaneously.
However, this is just an estimate. I hope this helps!
