• Next, prepare the window kit. Most portable air conditioners come with a window kit that helps vent hot air outside. Measure your window and adjust the kit so that it fits tightly in the window frame. A proper fit helps stop warm air from coming back inside the room.

• After that, connect the exhaust hose. Attach one end of the hose to the back of the portable AC and the other end to the window kit. 

  • Make sure the hose is straight and not blocked.
