If you are talking about a Pagdi system, then a daughter can stay in her father's tenanted property as it’s her legal right that’s based on the Law of Gratuity.
If we talk about the property in general, then the property will be divided equally among the legal heirs if there is no will left behind by the deceased person. If there’s a will, then the property will be divided as per the Will.
