Hello. While living in a rental accommodation last year, I wanted to customise the space a littler and asked my flatmate whether can you put wallpaper in a rented house or not. We were a little hesitant as we were not sure as to how the landlord would take it. But then, it clicked thst we should go through the rental agreement and that helped. As a whole, you need to check the agreement for any clauses before you put anything on the wall.

Continuing from above, you should check your

rent agreement

. There are usually clauses about modifications or alterations to the rental property and installing a wallpaper could be a breach of the said clause.

So, it is always best to just contact your landlord and seek permission from there to place wallpaper on the wall. Most landlords don’t want the hassle to deal with wallpaper removal, untidy walls and thus add clauses to protect the property.

This is all. I hope my answer will give you clarity regarding placing wallpaper on the wall of a rented property.
