Can We Sell CIDCO Flat?
You can sell your CIDCO flat only under the following conditions:
Power of Attorney (PoA): Some owners can transfer apartments through PoA.
Amnesty system: The government of Maharashtra has implemented an amnesty system that permits PoA-based transfers completed prior to the five-year timeframe to be formally regularised.
Legal sale after five years: The apartment may be sold at any time after the lock-in term is up.
The government is also working on a policy to legalise transfer of CIDCO flats more smoothly. For now, selling before 5 years is restricted unless covered under the amnesty scheme.
