Of course you can plant together. Since childhood I know that tulasi plants must be planted in odd numbers so just make sure of that. Tulsi must be planted in the north or north-east direction. But since you have two different varieties, I think it will be great to plant them a bit far from one another so that people can classify them easily. Also since tulsi is worshiped, try to plant them in a pot and not in the ground.
