I recently learnt that both back dating and front dating are allowed while drafting a rent agreement but only if a proper procedure is followed. I wanted my rent agreement to end by November but the owner said since it is going to be an 11 month rent agreement, the end month will be December instead of November. I asked him can we make back dated rent agreement. After a bit of hesitation, he however agreed.
