I lost my wallet and all my important identification markers were gone too. I knew I could get their duplicate copies easily. But first things first, I filed a police complaint just so that there is a formal record and in case someone tries to commit a fraud using my ID, it would be established that “I am out” (IYKYK). Anyway, duplicate Voter ID card download was quite a simple process. This is what I did.

To download the duplicate copy of Voter ID, you need to first apply for it on the above link. These are the steps to follow:

1. Register by using your email ID

2. Verify your email id.

3. Create a password for your account.

4. On the dashboard, select " Replacement of Voter ID "

5. Search and verify the details via Voter ID number or by details.

6. Give reason for the replacement of the voter ID card.

7. Choose the option to collect voter ID from three available options.

8. Now make payment using the preferred mode of payment

9. Preview the form and submit

10. Reference ID will be generated to track the application status.

The payment will not go more than Rs. 25 or Rs. 30.
