Many people have queries about bedroom direction as per vastu just like you. I had the same concern while getting my house constructed. I had to consult a vastu expert apart from my architect who had knowledge of vastu too. I asked him what should be my master bedroom direction as per vastu and shared some valuable tips with me.   • Ensure that while sleeping your head must be in south direction to absorb positive vibes
Some other tips that he shared to place the furniture in the bedroom were:
  • Avoid having a mirror right in front of the bed. If you can’t shift it, cover it while sleeping
  • Lockers in the bedroom must be against walls on the south or west directions
  • Your bed should be in rectangle or square shape to ensure prosperity.

The bed direction as per Vastu should be towards the room's southwest wall. It must not be facing the door. According to Vastu, couples should position their heads so that they are facing south, southeast, or southwest while they are sleeping. It is also advised not to sleep with your head facing north. It may leave you feeling worried and worn out. After understanding bed should be in which direction, let us focus on.

What is the Bed Room Direction as per Vastu?

  • The south-west corner of the home is recommended for the master bedroom per Vastu principles. The northwest corner should house the children's and guest bedrooms.
  • According to Vastu, the east and northern walls of the bedroom should have lots of windows. Additionally, the doors must open at a 90-degree angle at all times. 
  • The north-east direction is best for the prayer and puja room; the bedroom shouldn't face that way. Additionally, the bedroom should never face southeast because this is the house's fire (Agni) quadrant. There will be arguments and misunderstandings if the master bedroom faces southeast.
  • The bedroom door should be on one of the walls' north, east, or west sides. According to Vastu, single doors are best for a bedroom.

Hi. We recently started looking for a new house. Amongst all the other things, Vastu compliance is quite important for us. So, we wanted a house with the ideal bed room position as per Vastu, along with the other house areas.  I can tell you that the master bedroom is best positioned when it is in the southwest corner. I’ll talk more about the suitable directions for each room below.

Which is the Ideal Bed Room Vastu Direction?

For the master bedroom, make sure the entrance is on the north, west or east side of the room. Also, never have the door on the south-side wall of the room. Keep only single doors for the bedroom.  The bedroom of your house should never have a bed exactly opposite the door. There are a few more things which are important for bedroom Vastu. 
  • The bed shape must be regular.
  • Your bed shouldn’t be facing the north side.
  • No beam should cross over the bed.
As far as the kid's bedroom goes, choose the room which lies on the west side of the house.  If you are planning to also have a guest room, have it in the eastern corner of the house. Whereas, for the study room, the preferable location is the southeast corner of the house. This is all I have to say about the bedroom direction Vastu. I hope this helps.
