Wardrobe design for the bedroom plays a pivotal role in enhancing the overall ambience and functionality of your sleeping quarters. It's not merely a piece of furniture but a crucial element that occupies a significant portion of the room, emphasising the need for thoughtful planning and design. Beyond its visual appeal, the practicality and accessibility it offers are paramount for organising and housing your belongings efficiently. Bedroom wardrobes are ingeniously designed to fulfil multiple objectives, maximising space utilisation both within and around them. To aid in creating an optimised and stylish storage solution, we've curated a collection of outstanding cupboard designs for bedrooms tailored for bedrooms.

This teal and white wardrobe design bedroom with copper strips gives an elegant vibe. It is a perfect master bedroom wardrobe design idea. The teal wardrobe has a matte surface finish, while the white wardrobe has a gloss finish. The copper used in the middle naturally has a high gloss finish. Green and orange are complementary colours that give your bedroom a beautiful and unique look.

2. Rustic Wooden Wardrobe

(Credit: pin. it)The handles used are in a simple black and gold colour that adds another element to the beautiful rustic wardrobe.

This wooden bedroom design with a wardrobe will remind you of your farmhouse in the countryside. The design is very simple, almost traditional. There are two wooden doors for each wardrobe with vent-like engravings on the front, enabling air circulation, and ensuring your clothes are never damp and always stay clean. They have added yellow lights above the doors to illuminate the contents inside the cupboard. The cabinets above are also made of wood, and the flooring is also a light wooden flooring.

3. White And Wooden

This wall wardrobe design for bedrooms is perfect for large rooms. They have used highly reflective white material for the doors with brown wooden handles. There are three large double-door wardrobes for effective storage. They also have a dressing unit and cabinets above. The dressing unit and the cabinets above have a wooden texture matching the neutral colour scheme. The white tiles and flooring also complement the white wardrobe.

4. All White 3-door Bedroom Wardrobe Design

This master bedroom design with a dressing table is good for small bedrooms. They have three wardrobes and a small dressing table with two mirrors. The wardrobe doors are simple white material with metallic handles and white light. There is a small cushioned stool in the dressing unit near the mirror to comfortably get dressed or do your makeup. The light in the dressing room is also white, with a shade towards the warmer side.

5. Wooden Wardrobe With Designer Handles

Wardrobe Design for Bedroom
(Credit: pin. it)Brown is a popular bedroom wardrobe colour design that blends in well with any décor and wall colour

This modern wardrobe design for a small bedroom is simple but unique. It is a three-wardrobe unit with textured wooden sun mica. The handles are concentric circles of bronze-gold metallic finish. They have lights just above the doors to make sure the inside is illuminated. Make sure you use neutral colours in the rest of the room as well, not to take away from the look of the wardrobe. This design will work well for small bedrooms as well as larger bedrooms.

6. Glass Doors Designer Bedroom Wardrobe

Wardrobe Design for Bedroom
(Credit: pin.it)Designer wardrobes made in Glass completely elevate the look and vibe of the bedroom

This wardrobe is designed like a walk-in wardrobe. It gives an expensive and luxurious look. This latest wardrobe design for the bedroom has glass doors instead of opaque doors. The wooden interiors and the yellow LED lights bring the whole look together. Between two wardrobes is a dressing table with an oval mirror with a yellow backlight. The dressing table wall and the pouffe are a subtle grey, which ensures that it does not overpower the wardrobes. This glass wardrobe design for the bedroom is perfect for a chic opulent look.

7. Black And White Sliding Doors

Wardrobe Design for Bedroom
(Credit: pin.it)A sliding door wardrobe design for a bedroom is perfect for homes with space constraints.

This is a sliding-door wardrobe with two wardrobes and one door. They have used white reflective acrylic on the doors with three large black stripes in the middle of a matte finish. This sliding door wardrobe design is perfect for your room. Sliding doors are preferred for smaller rooms as they do not occupy space when opened. This sliding door design will look elegant in your bedroom.

8. Wooden Sliding Doors

Wardrobe Design for Bedroom

This master bedroom slider wardrobe design is elegant and classy. It is a two-door wardrobe with wooden sliding doors. The doors have engraved lines on them to give them a designer look. They have added a strip of white high reflective material on the right and have used the same material for the cabinets above. The rest of the elements in the room are also either wooden or white, adhering to the theme. This wardrobe design is perfect for a master bedroom.

9. Mirror Doors Bedroom Wardrobe Design

Wardrobe Design for Bedroom
(Credit: pin.it)Mirror doors in bedroom wardrobes are popular amongst young homeowners.

One can never go wrong with a grey and white colour theme. This room has an evergreen grey and white colour palette with mirrored doors. The mirrors serve two purposes; they create an optical illusion of increased space and make the room look bigger, and they serve the purpose of a dressing room with a full-length mirror. Sometimes there isn't enough space in the dressing room to have a full-length mirror, but when attached to the doors of wardrobes, it becomes a full-length mirror. This modern wardrobe design for the bedroom is perfect for the children's bedroom as well as the master bedroom.

10. A Simple Teal Coloured Bedroom Wardrobe

Wardrobe Design for Bedroom
(Credit: pin.it)A single-colour 3-door design is the most commonly used wardrobe design in bedrooms of Indian homes.

This simple wardrobe design for the bedroom brings in a pop of colour. It is perfect for breaking the nude and neutral colour monotony. They have teal doors of a matte finish, which look modern and elegant. A dressing unit with a large mirror and a few drawers under it. The drawers are blue-grey. The dash of colour in the bedroom gives a lively, fun and fresh vibe.

11. Simple Grey Coloured Small

Wardrobe Design for Bedroom
This wardrobe design is a testament that small décor items can look beautiful if paired well with wall colours.

This corner wardrobe design for a bedroom is perfect for a small-sized bedroom. There are two grey wardrobes with metallic handles. A chevron-like pattern is engraved on the wardrobe doors to give them a different look. This design is not very elaborate, but the grey and metallic amalgamation gives a good look with its chevron pattern. They have also added white lights just above the doors to ensure it is illuminated well.

12. Bedroom Wardrobe With Extended Study Table

Wardrobe Design for Bedroom
(Credit: pin.it)This wardrobe with a study table design is perfect for the children’s bedroom.

This latest wardrobe design for the bedroom is my personal favourite. The colour palette they have used feels like a whiff of fresh air from the neutral monotony. They have used a light blue-grey and a light orangish wood. The extra space beside the wardrobe has been efficiently used by incorporating a study table beside it. There are multiple small blue-grey cabinets with a strip of wooden shelves in between, which extend to become the study table. The wall behind the study table is a wooden wall with engraved vertical stripes giving an illusion of a higher ceiling. The flooring is also of the same colour as the study table.

13. Classic Single Coloured Glossy Wardrobe

Wardrobe Design for Bedroom
(Credit: pin.it)Adding Glossy paint over the bedroom wardrobe makes it a focal point of bedroom decor, thus making it an evergreen design that will never go out of trend.

This wardrobe design idea for the bedroom is a very classic design one cannot go wrong with. It is very simple and elegant. They used a solid-coloured reflective material for the doors of the wardrobes with silver handles. Grey and silver is an evergreen combination. This grey is on the darker side; hence it suits larger rooms better. Suppose you have a smaller room; opt for a lighter shade. They have two large wardrobes in this unit, one smaller cupboard and three drawers. They also have a row of cabinets on top with the same colour and material.

14. Wooden And Black Sliding Doors

Wardrobe Design for Bedroom
(Credit: pin. it)The cabinets on top are paired with the same wooden finish as the rest of the unit giving it a unified look.

This modern wardrobe with a dressing table design for the bedroom is beautiful! They have two sliding doors and two wardrobes with a dressing table on the side. One sliding door is black while the other one is of wood. The black sliding door is of a matte finish with a few line patterns embossed on it. The wooden door has a black vertical stripe of the same finish as the other door on it, to match it. The dressing table had a mirror and the wall surrounding it was of wood with horizontal stripes accessorising it.

15. Bedroom Wardrobe Design With Shelves

Wardrobe Design for Bedroom
(Credit: pin. it)Adding shelves to the bedroom wardrobes gives it a unique look and adds value to the décor.

This shelf design wardrobe for the bedroom is perfect for your children’s room. It is a very simple design with two white wardrobes with shelves in between them. The doors of the wardrobes have vertical stripes engraved in them and handles below. The shelves have a subtle wooden effect and are illuminated with warm white light. The shelves can be used to place books, toys or picture frames. The accommodation of shelves is what makes it a perfect design for a children’s bedroom

Points To Consider While Designing Your Wardrobe

A wardrobe for most people is a one-time investment and hence needs to be designed with utmost care. The wardrobe makes or breaks the look of your bedroom, especially when looking at small space wardrobe designs for small bedrooms. While in other pieces of furniture, either functionality is important or looks, functionality and aesthetics hold the same importance in a wardrobe. A well-designed wardrobe costs no more than a poorly designed wardrobe; hence do not hesitate to consult a professional. Here are some points to consider while choosing a wardrobe design for the bedroom.

Colour Palette

As your wardrobe will consume the most space in your bedroom, choosing the right colour is important. According to psychology, colour affects a person’s mood and shapes their personality in the long run. Hence, you must choose the right colour palette and adhere to it while designing your bedroom elements. To play safe, you can stick to neutral colours, and if you want to experiment with wardrobe designs for a small bedroom with a mirror, a few of your favourite colours can be easily paired to reflect the light off the mirrors.

Handles or No Handles?

With increased technology and the introduction of hydraulics for domestic use, there is an option to avoid handles. First, check the interior of the rest of your house and notice if you have used handles or not. If you have used handles in the rest of your house and like the classic look it gives, you can also have handles in your wardrobes. If you like the modern chic look and do not have handles in the rest of your house, then opt for a soft push-to-open mechanism that is often considered amongst the best wardrobe designs for the bedroom.

Lighting

Lighting the insides of your interior wardrobe designs for the bedroom is very important to see when choosing your outfit. There are two kinds of lighting, one is backlighting and the second one is top light. The backlight looks very luxurious and sophisticated. Top light also serves the purpose and illuminates the contents inside, especially for L-shaped latest wardrobe designs for bedrooms. It is advisable to use warm white or yellow light inside to understand the exact colour of the dress. Make sure the light does not emit heat and does not attract bugs and insects. Increased temperature of the lights will lead to discolouration of the dress.

Wardrobe Doors

Wardrobe doors are optional, especially when you have a walk-in wardrobe. They make the space look cluttered and small and increase the cost by almost double. To give your wardrobe a more spacious and luxurious look, omit the use of doors. On the other hand, clothes get dusty when left open and get discoloured faster. If you decide to omit the doors, clean them very regularly, especially the clothes you do not wear often. Make sure to keep everything well organised in the modular wardrobe designs for the bedroom to avoid your whole room from looking cluttered.

Ratio Of Hanging Space To Shelves

Make sure to include ample hanging space, especially for women. You can decide the ratio of hanging space and shelves as per your requirements. Usually, the ratio followed as a convention is 1:3 (shelves to hanging space), but some women prefer 1:1 if they require more space for shoes. Make sure you calculate the measurements accurately and check what kind of clothes you possess before making the final decision.

Wardrobes make up a large chunk of your room and are the only space in the room to store your belongings. Make sure you design them efficiently and get a professional opinion on them. They are a one-time investment and hence require a lot of thought and deliberation. NoBroker provides the best interior design solutions for your whole house. They are professional interior designers with years of experience and knowledge. Make sure you consult a good home interior designer available at NoBroker before finalising your design. The experts will guide you through the entire process and help choose the best wardrobe design for your bedroom. My daughter who is studying architecture in college came with me to the HSR center. She was quizzing the consultant about material sustainability—whether the plywood is from certified sources, if the laminates have low VOC emissions, what happens to waste material from the factory. The consultant handled every question and even pulled up their material certification documents. My daughter was impressed. She told me later: 'Appa, this company actually knows their supply chain, not just their design.' When a 20-year-old architecture student validates your choice, you know you've picked right.

Just finished the design phase with NoBroker interiors. I really appreciate the efforts done by our designer Sujendra Shetty. He helped and guided us in all designs we finalised. He was really patient while we took our time to finalise the designs and when we did material reselection. He was proffesional yet friendly and made the design phase smooth for us. We would be starting the production soon and I will update this review on project completion.

Specifically writing about the false ceiling consultation at the center. I didnt know there was so much to know about ceilings! The designer showed us different options—gypsum board, POP, wooden grid, MDF panels—and explained which works best for which room. The living room got a peripheral cove lighting design with warm LEDs, the bedroom got a simple recessed light plan (she said elaborate ceilings in bedrooms can feel oppressive when your lying down, which makes total sense), and the kids room got a small starlight panel. She also planned all the AC routing, curtain pelmet concealment, and speaker cable channels inside the false ceiling so nothing is visible. The ceiling alone transformed how our rooms feel. Also, their false ceiling pricing per sq ft was pretty competitive—I had checked with two separate contractors before.

I am from Kadugodi and was looking for modular furniture solutions for our new apartment. The NoBroker Varthur experience center had an extensive display of TV units, shoe racks, foyer designs, and partition options. The team helped me plan an open kitchen with a breakfast counter that would double as a partition. Creative and practical solutions! Highly satisfied with the visit.

We visited the NoBroker Varthur center for our villa interior project in Sarjapur Road. The design team was fantastic in understanding our preference for a blend of traditional and contemporary styles. They showed us premium material options including solid wood, veneer, and high-gloss acrylic finishes. The TV unit and crockery unit designs on display were stunning. Highly recommended for villa owners!

This review is from a couple who fights about everything haha. I wanted dark colors and modern look, my husband wanted light wood and earthy tones. The designer at Varthur center literally played mediator. She showed us a concept where the common areas (living room, kitchen) use light wooden textures that my husband likes, and the master bedroom uses the darker charcoal tones that I prefer. The kids room got a neutral palette with colorful accents. Everyone happy. She called it 'transitional design' where different zones have different personalities but connected by a common accent color (we chose teal). The 3D walkthrough she made showed exactly how it all flows together. I showed it to 3 friends and they all said it looks like something out of Architectural Digest. OK maybe I'm exaggerating a little but you get the point. We both love it.

We visited the HSR NoBroker experience center for flooring and wall treatment options for our living room. The team showed us various options including wooden flooring, vitrified tiles, and designer wall panels. They explained the pros and cons of each option for Bangalore's climate. The combination of textured wall panels with warm lighting they suggested transformed our visualization completely.

We are from Thanisandra and visited the center for our villa interior project. The designer adapted her approach for a larger independent house—didn't just scale up apartment designs. She proposed separate design personalities for ground floor (where guests are entertained—formal, elegant) and first floor (private family spaces—warm, casual). The staircase got under-staircase pull-out storage that holds 30 pairs of shoes. The double-height living room got a dramatic false ceiling with a chandelier recess. The master bedroom got a walk-in closet design instead of a regular wardrobe. Villa interiors need different thinking than apartment interiors and this team clearly has experience with both formats.

I had a great experience with NoBroker Interiors at the HRBR Experience Centre. The entire process was smooth and well-managed. Pradnyan (Designer) did an excellent job in understanding our requirements and providing thoughtful design solutions. Unnav from Sales was very supportive and ensured everything was clearly explained and well-coordinated throughout the process. Hetal also gave a detailed explanation, making it easy for us to understand every aspect. Overall, the team was professional, responsive, and helpful. Looking forward to moving ahead with them!

Something specific about the Horamavu team that I havent seen mentioned in other reviews—they offer a FREE pre-site-assessment before giving you any quotation. An engineer visits your apartment, checks wall conditions for dampness, verifies electrical point locations, measures ceiling height variations (builder flats often have slightly uneven ceilings), checks floor levelness, and documents any structural elements like beams and pillars that affect furniture placement. All this BEFORE you pay a single rupee. This assessment report then becomes the foundation for an accurate design and quotation. Other companies quote based on a floor plan drawing alone without ever seeing the actual site conditions. That's like prescribing medicine without examining the patient.

I am delighted to write this review after completing my VILA interior through NO BROKER Team The production and execution team is very professional and customer friendly in accommodating and matching with our requirements and our dreams of what we want to have it in our home. If I can mention the name then it is certainly Mr. Harsha, Mr. Munish and Mr. Suhail will take away entire credit for the final output This team is far better than their in-house design team who doesn't know much about practical application of what they or could do using a software. They need more experience particularly using the wood and material selection along with final finish with light fittings. Even though there was a mismatch and less expectation from NO BROKER certain team members, The above mentioned team members pulled it together and gave the best satisfactory finish

As a working professional with limited time to manage contractors, the project management aspect is what attracted me. Visited the center with a Pinterest board of 47 saved kitchen images. The consultant didn’t get overwhelmed. She patiently went through each one, identified common elements I was drawn to (handleless cabinets, wooden textures, open shelving), and created a unified design that captured the essence of all those pins. She basically translated my chaotic Pinterest board into a cohesive design. Overall we are very satisfied with the entire experience from start to finish.
