Who is eligible for PMAY scheme?This scheme is for families with a husband, wife, and unmarried children.
To avail of this scheme, the beneficiary family should not own a pucca house across the country
A married couple is eligible for joint ownership under this scheme.
The beneficiary families should be availing this scheme for the first time.
If the home loan is approved under this subsidy, but later on switched to another lender for a balance transfer, will not be eligible to claim again in the future.
The families under the MIG income group need to provide Aadhaar numbers to avail the benefit of the subsidy.
PMAY Eligibility as per Income Group
EWS:Annual income of a family upto Rs. 3 lakh are eligible for Rs 6 Lakh home loan subsidy under economically weaker section category. Under this category adult women co owner is mandatory.
LIG :Families with the annual income between Rs. 3 lakhs to Rs. 6 lakhs are eligible under the low income group. A family can avail upto Rs 6 lakh loan home subsidy.
MIG 1:The annual income of Rs 6 Lakh to 12 Lakh of an individual can avail the subsidy home loan of Rs 9 Lakh maximum. Comes under medium income group 1
MIG 2:Annual income of a person upto Rs.12 lakhs and Rs. 18 lakhs comes under medium income group 2. People falls under this category can avail home loan subsidy upto 12 lakh
