Availability: Asian Paints has a wider reach than Indigo. I find their shades and tins everywhere in my city, with zero stock issues. Indigo is growing fast but still lags in smaller towns.
Range: Indigo has a better range, I’d say with trendy metallics, floor paints, and ceiling specials. Asian Paints has massive emulsions, textures, and waterproofing, but feels more traditional.
Durability and Finish: Both hold up well in humid Chennai where I come from. Asian's Royale gives that premium velvet sheen. Indigo's high margins mean solid coverage, but I noticed slight fading on exteriors after 3 years when I had chosen Indigo for the last time we had gotten our house painted.
Pricing and value: Indigo is great for budget projects. Asian Paint in my opinion justifies premium with consistency and dealer support.
So overall, I would side with Asian Paints as per my experience, but Indigo is also good, it all comes down to your preferences.
