Cost
For the 1.5-ton 3-star inverter AC that I saw, O-General had priced it at Rs. 49,800. On the other hand, Daikin’s AC of the same tonnage and star rating was Rs. 39,900. So, it is clear that Daikin wins in the price comparison.
SEER Rating
The SEER rating is the ratio of the cooling output of the AC over an average cooling season divided by the total energy used. A higher SEER means that the AC will save you more money with less electricity consumption. The two are close in this regard, but Daikin beats O-General with a rating of 3.95 compared to 3.83.
Cooling Power
This is another close call as the cooling power of Blue Star is 5.05 kW, while that of O-General is 5.2 kW.
So, as a whole, there isn’t much of a difference between the two. Yes, their features differ a bit, but the game changer is the price point, so that makes Daikin the better choice in my view.

After making this comparison table, I ultimately opted for the Daikin AC. Though it is a bit costly, however, I realised that the customer reviews are very good in comparison to the O General AC.
