Where is IFSC code written on cheque?
I have seen in most of the cheques, the IFSC code is written at the top but some cheques have it on the left-hand side at the bottom as well. So the simplest way to know which one is IFSC code, just notice a few things:- Whether the code has 11 digits or not. All IFSC codes have 11 digits be it on the bottom or at the top
- The first 4 characters represent the bank name and the fifth character is 0 and the last sex chaarcters are usually numberic but can be alphabetic as well.
