Hello. I saw you asking when EPF interest will be credited in the EPF account, and can tell you about it. I wanted to know this information about the EPF interest and found a helpful tweet made by EPFO.
When will Interest Credit in EPF Account?
As per the EPFO, the interest is deposited into the EPF accounts at the end of the financial year, which is March 31st. I saw that EPF subscribers were yet to receive the interest in their accounts for the last financial year.
A few people asked the EPFO about the status and they responded with a tweet saying, “Dear member, The process is in pipeline and may be shown there very shortly. Whenever the interest will be credited, it will be accumulated and paid in full. There would be no loss of interest."
So, I’d say that you don’t need to worry about the interest if it hasn't been reflected in your account yet.
How to Check if EPF Interest is Credited?
I am also sharing some ways through which you can check whether the interest has been credited to your EPF account or not.
Through the
EPF website
Find the ‘For Employees’ section.
Under the ‘Services’ tab, click on ‘Member Passbook’.
Fill in your UAN password and captcha to sign in.
You will be able to view your passbook in the next 6 hours from the time after registering on the unified member portal.
With the Umang App
Download the app on your phone and log into the app to view your EPF passbook.
