You must know what to do when movers arrive to make your moving day go smoothly. Like, be available at your house on the day of the move to assist the professional, ensure the route to and from the moving vehicle is clear, and so on.
What to Do While Your Movers are Packing and Moving?
On the day of your move, be present at your house.
When the movers arrive, be outside to show them where to park.
Give the movers a brief tour of the house and welcome them at the door when they arrive.
Keep your children and pets out of the way while the movers pack your possessions and load the moving van. You can ask a family member or neighbor to keep an eye on them.
Communicate clearly about the fragile items and address issues that arise during the move.
Although hovering is not necessary, be reachable and avoid prolonged disappearance.
Offer the movers water, coffee, and snacks if the relocation is anticipated to take a long time.
Ensure all your possessions are packed, labelled, and prepared for moving if you're not availing a full-service move.
Check if nothing is left behind in your old house before the truck leaves.
Finally, ensure the professionals have the right address and directions to your new home when they have finished loading the moving vehicle.
