Last month I lost my ATM card just after I withdrew some money and noticed it after almost 24 hours. I went back to the ATM and searched for it but never found it. It is a common thing to lose an ATM card I imagine since once my friend lost her card on friday night and for the next two days the bank was closed. She panicked a lot but did exactly what should be done. She lodged a diary regarding the same in the police station and also called on SBI number to block her card. Every bank has that facility so just check what is the number to block an ATM card for your respective bank. For example, for SBI, the number to block your card is 18004253800. You can call on this number, block your card and be sure that no money can be withdrawn from your account. You can also send an sms writing BLOCK last 4 digits of your card and send it to 5676791.
