As far as I'm aware, the Real Estate (Regulation and Development Act), (RERA) 2016, which was passed, considers open parking spots to be common areas. Hence, it is unlawful to sell a parking space. The developer, builder, or anybody else is not allowed to charge for this space. In 2010, the Supreme Court declared that developers were not permitted to sell the parking spaces owned by apartment residents, including garages or stilt parking.
So, if someone is trying to sell a parking space to you, you must know about this. A parking space must be included in the total property cost. So, there is no separate cost of a parking space.
