Hey friend,

I see you want to know what is void agreement. I asked my uncle about the meaning and he told me how an agreement and contract can be considered to be void if it doesn’t meet the legal criteria. Keep reading to know more about the topic.
What do you mean by void agreement? It is a formal agreement that is illegitimate and unenforceable in nature. To put it plainly, it is an agreement that does not hold any legal value. It will not be enforceable. These are non-enforceable by the court of law.
Though, void agreement meaning remains the same. It was an agreement that was previously valid and now is invalid. For the agreement to be legally valid it needs to have all the elements and aspects mentioned in the Indian Contract Act of 1872, Section 10.
An agreement will be considered to be void if :
It requires breaking civic law.
If it goes against current public policy
If it includes a party that is minor in nature and the minor is intoxicated, or legally insane at the time of signing.
According to Section 2(g) of the Indian Contract Act, a void agreement is “an agreement not enforceable by law”.
This is all from my end on what is void agreement.
