This style was mostly seen in European houses but now in India, several buildings are also being constructed with porticos. What are the Vastu Tips for Portico?
The ideal Vastu for portico is towards the east and north directions. A slanting portico towards the east is good for health. On the other hand, if the portico slants in the north direction, it is good for money as well as health so the north can also be considered for constructing a portico there. Use pillars to support the portico and keep them away from the wall
If you are planning to park your car under the portico, do so in the north or east for plots that face the north or east direction
Slant the roof of the portico to provide favourable conditions for the house
Don’ts
Do not construct the portico facing the south or it will bring negative energy and misfortune to the family
Try to avoid erecting circular portico corners
Do not go for tin roofs; rather, go for cement walls
