Honestly, it depends on the broker. Sometimes they charge half a month’s rent or else they can ask for a complete month’s rent as well (which is crazy). I was working in Gurgaon in 2018 and had to look for a rented flat because of my job. The brokers were asking for too much honestly and the flats they showed were overpriced and not impressive at all. I decided to check flats online and fortunately enough, I was able to find a decent and furnished 1 RK in the prime location for just Rs.12000 per month rent.
