I recently bought an apartment in West Bengal, and while searching for the steps to apply for electricity connection, I came to know about the new meter connection charges wbsedcl.
The application fee is zero for domestic consumers under the Govt. subsidy scheme. But you need to pay for the cost of the generation meter, which depends on the type of consumer. The customer will be charged for the total amount of the meter and modem fees as a single charge head, with the modem costing an extra ₹5554.50.
How To Apply For New WBSEDCL Connection?
Go to the
West Bengal Electricity Portal.
On the right-hand side, you will be able to spot LT Consumers. Click on that.
Now, click on New Connection (LT Others) from the left-hand side.
Select New User from the next page.
Enter your name and mobile number and click on Generate OTP.
Enter the OTP and follow the instructions as provided on the page to open the Application form.
Provide all the necessary information and click on Submit All Details.
After this, a number will be displayed on the screen, and you can note that down for future reference.
To check the WBSEDCL new connection cost and make the payment, visit the payment portal of
WBSEDCL.You need to log in with your username and password to complete the payment process.
