I live in Koramangala, Bangalore and I pay a maintenance of Rs. 3000 every month. I was told by my landlord that the maintenance amount is used for the upkeep of the society. It is also used for garbage collection, security, repairs (whenever and if needed), and other day-to-day runnings of the society.
