The false ceiling cost for living room, on average, ranges from Rs. 50 per square foot to Rs. 1200 per square foot. However, this rate can increase based on several factors, such as your location, the materials you choose, the design complexity, the ceiling drop height, labour rates, and work volume. I have shared the average pricing based on the material type below.
What is the False Ceiling Price for Living Room?
On average, the Plaster of Paris or POP false ceiling price per sq. ft ranges from Rs. 95 to Rs. 108 per square foot. The gypsum false ceiling ranges between Rs. 75 per sq. ft. to Rs. 105 per sq. ft. This rate can increase up to Rs. 145 per square foot, in case you choose a premium gypsum ceiling. However, the PVC ceiling in the living space costs you Rs. 160 to Rs. 185 per sq. ft. Talking about the laminate false ceiling, it ranges from Rs. 700 per sq. ft. to Rs. 800 per sq. ft. Veneer ceiling comes in the range of Rs. 900 per sq. ft. and Rs. 1200 per sq. ft.
I got these average rates from the professional interior designer I hired recently for designing my new living room and kitchen. For my 12 ft × 15 ft living room, using a moderate gypsum false ceiling, it costs me roughly Rs. 20,000.
Just informing you that these prices do not include the GST charge. The rate will also rise much more with additional lighting, painting, and creative finishes.
