When I was trying to choose the right material for flooring and furniture, this debate about WPC vs HDHMR came to my mind. The basic difference between the both is that WPC (Wood Plastic Composite) is made from a combination of plastic and wood fibres, and are long-lasting, moisture-resistant material that is perfect for outdoor use. In contrast, HDHMR (High-Density High Moisture Resistant) is a dense, moisture-resistant board that is intended for indoor use in high-humidity spaces like bathrooms and kitchens.

Which is Better HDHMR or WPC?
After researching a lot, I found the following differences, and ultimately opted for WPC for my home.
Moisture resistant: Although both materials can withstand moisture, WPC is more water-resistant, which makes it perfect for outdoor applications or locations that are exposed to direct water.
Durability: WPC and HDHMR are both long-lasting, but WPC performs better in settings where rot, decay, or insect damage are issues.
Aesthetics: WPC usually has a more synthetic appearance, but HDHMR offers additional finish options that enable more realistic-looking designs.
Uses: WPC is favoured for outdoor use and locations with significant water exposure, while HDHMR is better suited for inside uses, particularly in places that are prone to moisture.
Cost: WPC may be more expensive because of its improved durability and waterproof qualities, whereas HDHMR is typically less expensive, especially for interior applications.
So as per my opinion, both are good options but you should choose the one that can serve your purpose. For instance, for outdoor usage, opt for WPC, and for interior opt for HDHMR.
