I recently visited a friend's house and was amazed by the lighting in his house. I asked him about the lighting and he informed me that it's called Recessed lighting. I asked him about how he got it done. He gave me the contact details of an interior designer. I contacted the interior designer and asked about the recessed lighting price. 

What is the Recessed Lighting Cost?

The interior designer told me that the price can only be determined after taking in a few factors such as the size, intended use of the room, and the desired lighting level. Here provided me with some information related to those, which I have provided below. 
  • Size And Layout Of Room
He told me that when installing recessed lights there should be one fixture approximately every 25 square feet. Here is a chart provided by him. 
Room Size Fixtures
Small rooms (less than 100 sq ft) 2 to 4
Medium rooms (100 - 200 sq ft) 4 to 8
Large rooms (200 - 400 sq ft) 8 to 10
Very large rooms (over 400 sq ft) 10 or more
  • Spacing Guildelines
He said that when arranging recessed lights, there should be at least 4 to 6 feet space between each to get a balanced illumination. 
  • Arrangement
According to him, the Grid pattern is the most common arrangement. In this arrangement, lights are spaced evenly throughout the room.  After all this he told me that the price of recessed lights would be somewhere around Rs. 2000 but it can be less too.
