Shoring is a set up/ prop or support that is provided to the construction or building or during excavation. It is usually temporary and gets removed once the construction is done. While constructing the pillars, the labourers gave it some support with some wooden planks. I asked them what was the need of doing so and in reply they said that it will make the pillar strength and will help it to stay firm as well.
