The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) rolled out the one-time property-tax amnesty scheme called SUNIYO (Sumpattikar Niptaan Yojana) for the financial year 2025-26. So, what is MCD property tax SUNIYO scheme last date? Initially, the window to avail of the scheme was from June 1 to September 30, 2025. However, in a recent decision, the MCD extended the last date for the SUNIYO scheme until 31 December 2025.
Under this scheme, property owners across all categories residential, commercial, authorised or unauthorised can avail of 100 % waiver on interest and penalties for dues outstanding before the FY 2020-21, provided they pay the principal amount of property tax for the current year (2025-26) plus the previous five financial years (FY 2020-21 to FY 2024-25) first.
With the property tax SUNIYO scheme last date extension, eligible property-owners have additional months to settle their outstanding principal amounts and benefit from the amnesty.
