1. In Delhi, the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) gives a 10-digit K Number to each water connection. In Bangalore, the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) gives an RR Number (Revenue Register Number). Both numbers serve the same purpose.

2. The K Number is very important. You need it to pay your water bill online through apps, or on the official Jal Board website. You also need this number to check your bill details, due date, and payment history. 

3. A water bill with the K Number is accepted as valid address proof for Aadhaar, Passport, and other government work. You must also provide this number when you want to register a complaint about water shortage, low pressure, or dirty water.

4. You can find your K Number printed on your water bill, usually at the top of the bill. In some cities, meter readers paste a sticker with the number or QR code on the house gate or near the water meter. You can also search for it online on your city water board’s official website by entering your name or address.
