What are the Railway Parcel Charges for Refrigerator?
Through my research, I came to know that the charges depend on the weight of the fridge and the distance of the locations. I checked my fridge and learned that it weighs 53 kg. Next, I looked up the distance between Bangalore and Pune, and that was somewhere around 870 km.
After that, I looked up the charges on the Railway parcel website. The price that I was supposed to pay was around Rs. 1900. This was quite high, and I looked up some packers movers' prices after that, which I found to be much less and thus I opted for their services. I hope this helps.

We received the rate card for the fridge parcel by train charges, but upon contemplating the costs, it seemed too high.
Also, we would need to pack the fridge ourselves, transport it to the railway station, and then move it again upon arrival in Bangalore. All the stress of the logistics was overwhelming.

What are the Transport Charges for Fridge?
As I said earlier, the transportation cost depends on the weight of the fridge and the distance. In our case, the weight of the fridge was 91 kg and the distance from Delhi to Bangalore was around 2400 km. They charged me around Rs 650. But it was quite a hassle. This cost is just from Delhi railway station to Bangalore railway station.
It cost me around Rs 9,000 to get the fridge transported from my house to Delhi station and Rs 12,000 from Bangalore station to my house there. On that, I had to wait for around 5 hours as the train was delayed.
It is thus better you opt for professional packers and movers. They might be costly but
