What does dispute resolution mean?The builder was actually supposed to complete the building within 4 months but started delaying it after three months since it got started. The owner got furious about this and threatened to take legal action and hence there was the conflict. They opted for dispute resolution later and solved the issue between them. So dispute resolution can be referred to as the action that prevents one from taking legal action or going to court.

: Litigation is the court process where the judge or jury takes the decision. This might be costly but perhaps the most transparent method to come to a decision.
