The Central Consumer Protection Authority makes sure that a customer in distress can find someone to protect their rights. They ensure to promote, protect, and enforce the rights of the consumers. Under this act, any consumer can file complaints electronically.
The complaint will be held in mediation and there are mediation cells introduced under the Consumer Commissions to carry on the mediation.
No filing charges are required for cases up to Rs. 5 lakhs.
If you sell or manufacture adulterous goods you will be punished under the consumer protection act.
