How Does a Central Air Conditioner Work?

Warm air from within your house is drawn into return air ducts by the interior unit's fan. It is then filtered to eliminate dust and other airborne contaminants.
The air then travels across the cold evaporator coil. Here, the heat is taken in by the liquid refrigerant, which then transforms it into a gas and cools the air.
The cooled air is subsequently released into living areas by the blower fan.
Copper tubing carries the warm gas refrigerant to the compressor.
After that, gas is sent from the compressor, which is pressurised, to the condenser coil, which releases heat outside and converts the refrigerant back to liquid.
Finally, to complete the cycle, the refrigerant moves to the evaporator coil.
