What real estate developers do?A real estate developer is a person who purchases land or property in a distressed condition and renovates it to sell it to a real estate investor. Basically, a real estate developer is a person responsible for handling the jobs such as:
Borrowing funds for executing a real estate project
Purchase the land
Helps in executing the permits
Brings architect to design the building
Checks out of the building are built on strong grounds
Checks out buyers and tenants to purchase property
. Let me give an example. A producer in a movie is responsible for working with the director, actors, screen players, musicians, architects, dancers, choreographers. He/ she may not be the face or the representative of the project but he/she is responsible for executing all the important works related to the movie. In the end, he/she is one who makes the most profit due to hard work and efficiency. Just like that producer, a real estate developer takes all the risks, puts all the hard work to execute a plan and makes a profit out of it. You can become a real estate developer but you need to know the laws, strategy and you need to think carefully about all the aspects before handling a project. It's better to have a degree or you can work for a company and see what kind of strategy they apply and learn a few things before jumping into the real estate developing business.
