The consequences of not paying ASD in BESCOM are;
If a customer does not pay the required security deposit, BESCOM will immediately cut off the power supply to the installation without further notice. Any unpaid balances on this account will be considered unpaid power costs.
For two months in the case of monthly billing (2 MMD) or three months in the case of bi-monthly billing (3 MMD), customers are required to keep a security deposit equal to the cost of power. This covers energy, demand, and fixed fees.
If the current deposit is insufficient, BESCOM raises an ASD demand after reviewing consumption on a regular basis.
Unpaid ASD amounts are applied to your outstanding bill and are considered arrears of electricity charges.
To restore supply, you must clear the ASD amount through cash, demand draft, or e-payment via debit card, credit card, or net banking on the BESCOM website.
Paying ASD on time helps avoid disconnection and ensures uninterrupted electricity supply.
