I wanted to soundproof a room and to learn how to get it done, so I called a friend of mine. He had recently soundproofed one of his rooms. He told me that to soundproof a room, I would need to add PVC panels. Following that, I asked him about the different types of PVC panels. Then, he explained the types of PVC panels to me.
What are the Different Types of PVC Wall Panels?
My friend told me that there are basically two types of panels, and those are
PVC Foam Board
He told me that these boards come in different colour shades, such as white, black, yellow, etc. According to him, these provide an extra layer of protection to the wall against rain, sunlight, etc.
He also told me that the size of these boards ranges from 1.22m to 2.05m in width and 2.44m and 3.05m in length. The boards are mainly used to provide insulation for the room inside and reduce the intensity of external sound penetrating the walls.
PVC Sheets
My friend also told me that PVC sheets are sandwiched between the longitudinal grid of PVC. This keeps the sheet strong and yet lightweight. They also come with an interlocking design that doesn't allow water to pass through them. He said that there are three PVC panel types sheets, which are
