At my home, a bathroom renovation is about to begin. Before starting, I wanted to confirm the standard height of bathroom fittings and other things. So I spoke to one of the renovation team members. He explained the ideal height can vary from person to person. I told him to follow the standard height, and he then shared the standard measurements for all the fittings. I am sharing those with you here for reference.
What are the Bathroom Fittings Height?
Mirror cabinet: He said it’s usually placed between 100 cm to 180 cm from the floor, depending on the height of the people using it. If someone at home is shorter, the mirror can be installed lower for comfort.
Washbasin: The standard height is around 80 cm, but he recommended fixing it at 85 cm for better convenience and less back strain.
Clothes hook: He mentioned 110 cm as a good height. It’s reachable for most adults without being too high.
Toilet seat: Normally it's 40 cm from the floor, but he suggested 41 to 42 cm for better seating comfort, especially if someone elderly is using it.
These are the standard heights for bathroom fittings that my renovation team member shared with me. I hope this helps you, too.

Hi, I can tell you about my bathroom fittings height as we remodelled our bathroom last month and got new fixtures and fittings. Our contractor guided us through understanding the standard sizes. He informed the standard size of a combined bathroom, which includes a bath area and sink, is 5 feet x 8 feet. And, the ceiling height should be a minimum of 7 feet.
What are Bathroom Fittings Standard Heights?
I learned that there should be a minimum of 5 feet clearance between a water source and a light switch. Here are the sizes that we were recommended and followed during the renovation.
A hanging light fixture was kept 8 feet higher and 3 feet away from the bathing area.
We placed the showerheads at a height of 6.5 feet because it should be higher enough to create a gentle flow of water.
The basin tap was installed at a height of 3 feet.
For bathroom shelves, there is no standard height, but 3 ft to 4 ft is ideally recommended. We have placed it at 3.5 feet.
We also installed a towel ring 50 inches from the floor.
Moving on to cabinets, you shouldn’t place it above 6 feet.
If you’re keeping a toilet paper holder, place it around 1 feet above the ground.

hire a trusted plumber from NoBroker. I hope this helps.
