DKT land or Darakastu land is a Government wasteland that has been assigned to the land-less poor for cultivation purposes only. The beneficiaries of DKT land are those who are below the poverty line and are majorly from Other Backward Classes (OBC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Scheduled Caste (SC).
This land can be used for cultivation purposes only and it can’t be sold or bought. However, you can return the land to the government. After offering the income certificate and these you may transfer the DKT land to your legal heir as per new rules and regulations.
