Hey there. There are several geyser electricity saving tips that I know and can share. I have used all of them and they help bring down the electricity bills to a great extent. One of the ones I often use is to adjust the temperature to a lower one. An ideal temperature setting would be between 50 to 60 degrees. This setting is sufficient for most hot water requirements and also lowers the energy consumption. I will share more such tips below.

Tips to Reduce Your Geyser’s Energy Consumption

Here are some tips to lower your geyser’s energy consumption:

  1. If you have a storage geyser, what you can do is insulate the tank to lower heat loss. I have a storage geyser and have tried this thing. When you add an insulation jacket around the tank, it helps retain heat and minimises the energy needed to keep water hot.

  2. You can also get help from a timer to reduce the energy usage. A timer ensures that the geyser is in use only during the peak usage times. This move prevents unnecessary energy consumption when you don’t need hot water.

  3. Another thing which can help is to get regular maintenance done for your geyser. It helps address issues related to sediment buildup or inefficiencies in the heating element. Fixing the issues on time saves energy.

So, these were some tips from my end to reduce the power consumption of a geyser. I hope this helps.
