You must know what an SLA (service level agreement) is. It is a contract between a business and its client laying out the details that the two parties have agreed to in a transaction. There are different types of SLAs because the requirements of one user differ from another. Let me tell you what are the 3 types of SLA:

Service-based SLA

This service level agreement is a contract that provides one service to all of its clients. For instance, contracting IT support services for everybody who uses a specific IP telephony provider.

Customer-based SLA

The Customer-based SLA is used for individual clients and includes all relevant services that a customer may require while leveraging one contract. It mentions details regarding the quality and type of service that both the parties agree upon.

For instance, a telecommunication service includes internet services, messaging, and voice calls, but that all exist under a single contract.

Multi-level SLA

This SLA is customized as per the requirements of the end-user company. It enables the user to integrate various conditions into the same system to create a more suitable service. It addresses contracts at these levels:

Service level:

In this agreement, every aspect that is attributed to a specific service about a customer group is included.

Customer level:

This contract includes every service issue that is associated with a particular group of clients. However, it doesn’t consider the type of user services.

For example, when a company requests that the security level in one of its departments be stronger. In this case, the entire company is secured by one security company but requires that one of its customers in the company is more secure for certain reasons.

Corporate level:

This service level agreement doesn’t need frequent updates since its issues are generally unchanging. It contains a comprehensive discussion of every relevant aspect of the agreement and applies to every client in the end-user company.

Now you know about different types of SLA.
