Hey. I bought a new split AC for my room one week ago. I have been exploring the different modes present on the remote. So, I will be able to help you understand the air conditioner different modes. They help you save energy and lower the electricity bills without compromising the comfort of a cool room. I will explain everything below.
What are the Different Modes in Air Conditioner?
There are three modes that I am aware of on an AC, which include cool, dry and fan mode:
Cool Mode
This is the most common and widely used mode. This is the default setting when you first switch on the AC. In the cool mode, the AC sends cool air throughout the room and helps drop the inside temperature. You need to set the appropriate temperature to help with energy conservation.
Fan Mode
In this mode, the AC works towards improving the air circulation in the interior as the fun runs. However, there is no change in temperature, so you won’t feel any coolness. This mode is perfect when you just want air to circulate without running the compressor and save energy.
Dry Mode
You won’t see this mode on all the ACs, but if you do, then know that it works toward reducing the amount of humidity and moisture in the air while cooling it simultaneously. In dry mode, the fan runs at a higher speed, helping draw moisture out of the air.
I believe you are now aware of what are different modes in air conditioner and what they mean.
