Hey. The DTDC bike transport charges start at Rs. 2,550. I recently moved from Delhi to Surat through DTDC and got their bike shifting service as well for 2 of my scooties. They mainly charge based on the distance to be travelled. So, rates are all about how far you want to transport your bike. I will give you the complete cost breakdown below I found on their website.
Bike Transport by DTDC Charges
100 to 350 km: Rs. 2,550 to Rs. 5,780
350 to 750 km: Rs. 3,450 to Rs. 6,900
750 to 1200 km: Rs. 4,430 to Rs. 8,445
1200 to 1700 km: Rs. 6,440 to Rs. 11,770
1700 to 2300 km: Rs. 7,470 to Rs. 12,560
2300 to 3000 km: Rs. 8,165 to Rs. 14,455
So, these are the price bars for bike shifting through DTDC. You can expect to pay as high as Rs. 14,500 based on the distance. Apart from the distance to be travelled, some other factors affect the pricing.
See, time is a major aspect that people ignore. Packers and movers are the busiest during weekends at the start and end of the month.
So, if you want a lower quote, I recommend the best time is to send items on a weekday during the middle of the month.
Also, the kind of bike you have may or may not affect the cost. Scooties are charged less in comparison to bikes and all.
