Rent Agreement

We rented a house in October 2019 and entered into agreement for 11months. After few months of going to that house we found the roof were leaking and had many problems but also we stayed there till 2021 October. The landlord suddenly came and announced to raise the rent by 1000 rupees.so searched and vacated the house noticing them 1 month before. So now the landlord is saying 3 months notice period had to be given and is deducting 1montg rent unpaid, 3 months of rent of 2022 and 1month rent for painting. 80000-11000*5= 24000 No renewal of agreement is made after 11months Is this legal?? Please help us out we are loosing 33000 of hard earned money
