A light placed directly behind you will create glare on your monitor, making it more difficult to view.
Avoid keeping light directly in front of you because it might be uncomfortable to have bright light glaring in your eyes.
Light at an angle. Set ceiling lights or desk lamps at a 45-degree angle to your screen.
Use task lighting. For uniform illumination, place a soft light above or slightly below your monitor.
