Since the introduction of Model Tenancy Act the terms for security deposit has changed. Here is what you need to know.
The security deposit for a house in Hyderabad cannot exceed two months’ rent in case of residential premises. The security deposit for a non-residential apartment will not exceed six months’ rent.
This law has been passed pan-India and violation can bring consequences upon the landlords.
