How to change property name?You need to affidavit and mention all the details like the current owner's name, the new name, the reason for changing, and the current address. The documents should be signed by two gazetted officers with a notary to incorporate the new name.
You must publish an advertisement in the local newspaper declaring the property name change, one in English and the other in the state's official language newspaper. Include old name, new name, address in the publication.
The advertisement copy that is published in the newspaper should be sent to the Department of Publication.
After you have changed your property name go to the land registry office and provide all the proof for the new name change. You need to pay a nominal fee to update your name in the land records.
After submitting the documents respective officers will investigate and check if the name changed is accurate.
Your name will be updated in the land records within 15 to 20 days.
