There are multiple reasons why banks can reject your application. You must speak with the bank authorities to understand the reasons. I can give you a few reasons that come to the top of my mind as of now as to why your application could have been rejected. Sharing them with you here:
One of the common reasons for rejection could be that you applied in the wrong income group as specified in PMAY
Maybe you already availed another central housing scheme earlier some time.
The property you are selecting is off limits of PMAY
The documentation may have been faulty.
If you wish to know the reason, I think the best action would be to consult the bank manager or concerned authority.
