Hi buddy,
As far as I know, t
he society committee is required to arrange for the election of a new committee as per the bye-laws before the expiry of its term. If it fails to do so, the Registrar shall arrange to hold such elections within 90 days after the expiry of the committee’s term at the cost of the Society. Moreover, the outgoing committee’s elected members shall be debarred from contesting the committee elections of any cooperative society for 5 years from the date of the expiry of the outgoing committee’s term.
To know more about this, I suggest you reach out to the Department of Registrar Co-operative Society or a lawyer.
